The 52 Project: Week 6/52

The 52 Project: Week 6 of 52 from

“A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2014”

Isn’t she lovely? I still spend a lot of time staring at her, just as I did when she was a teensy infant. She’s a lot funnier and more opinionated these days, but I’m still kind of in awe of her existence, and the way she learns and grows with every passing moment. Each week I get a tiny step closer to the picture I want. My goal (at least for now) is to capture the light and colors as they were in real life. I think I got pretty close this time.

I snapped a few shots of Eva while we were playing in the park this past Sunday. It was incredibly nice (by February standards), and we were one of the few families out enjoying the weather. Eva was a little cautious in the mud, carefully remembering her favorite games and climbers at one of our favorite summertime places. I think she’s as ready for spring as I am!
